New Year's Adam

This be the day that I changeth my blog skin. I quite like it.

Anyway, this new year's eve is rather different in that I'm not currently with my small group waiting to attend Watchnight service in church due to me being sick and also because I want to really sit myself down and talk to God into the new year. I really thank him for all he's blessed me with this year, the number of things I am thankful for are great indeed. There's friends and family as usual, and this year has really been about different kinds of relationships. I don't mean that in a BGR sense or anything but rather different levels of friendship. Going back to the point about family, as so inspired by Alon's blogging (which I commanded him to do), I am also very glad to have Oscy-poo (pronounced os-kee-poo)(see also, "Oscar, the dog")

Conrad always talks about goal setting, and damn he has the body to show it whilst I am still floating around. So I shall make public 5 of my top goals for the coming year.

1. Live a life that my Lord and saviour would be proud of
2. Get the grades that I want (i'll look into this term by term)
3. Become a way better drummer
4. Have a "fat" new year, terminology courtesy of Gail
5. Achieve these goals over time

I realised that if there's ever been a year for change, 2009 would be a likely one for it. All I can say is I expect 3 things could change my life tremendously. Love. Marriage. Death. Nevertheless, I am confident in 2 things - that God will always be there for me, and that my bros will always be there for me. That's how much I love you guys, and I would even take up the responsibility of personally ensuring that we don't drift.

I thank all who have been a part of my life in 2008. And I do ask that if you see me not really moving towards my goals to kick me or something and remind me of this post, this night.
