Both of you are my friends, and in fact I've known you longer. But if you ever hurt her real bad I'm going to be very very very mad. And if you don't treasure her the most you can, you don't deserve her love. Please, just let her be happy.

Right. Camp was great! On the first day we had icebreakers, and well I admit to not being a very enthusiastic leader or creative one at that, so yup groups with me as their leader are usually rather conservative and boring haha. But anyway at least we got to know each other, so ultimately we at least reached the minimal goal. Ok I'm going to mess chronological stuff up so I'll just talk bout some highlights. First day sermons were really good, and I began to feel and believe that God would really move in my friends. Spent the night talking to Jong, which I felt was very crucial because I began to connect with him again, and yup from then on stuff was good. OH night games were ok la, thanks to the crosstrainers but in all honesty I found previous years better. And I suck at carrying fishballs on a spoon behind my back and doing lunges.

Second day we had worship and message in the morning followed by workshop. So my first workshop was "why do the innocent suffer" by Adriel. I found it really enlightening and other than the spiritual knowledge I gained it was also a good time of bonding for my circle of friends in camp; Thong, Conrad, Jong, Nat, Michelle and Ronda. Had prayer with Thong in the ops room after that and then bible study. Night sermon was by Pastor How, and I was quite encouraged by the pre-determined decisions thing and the "others can, I cannot". (I'm trying to keep this all positive)

Third day...workshop was "Knowing God's will" by Gladwin. I didn't quite get it that much, or rather I was expecting something very very simple but I think it did break the topic down very well and if anything it definitely built faith for me, and emphasized the importance of friends, even in your spiritual walk. Pool games were so-so. Night sermon wasn't that great, and yup it was definitely a night of problems. BUT. God answered our prayers and I was just so touched and blessed to be able to pray for my friends and see God work in them.

Played captain's ball and also drummed a bit, got the opportunity to talk to Iain, pro drummer from COOS.

I thought I was fine with God, that the confusion in me was just a small thing. After the whole night service I just ... burst. I don't know what happened but I just got very angry and frustrated, but after talking with friends I felt a bit better. Clarissa also talked to me for very long and helped me to think straight. I do believe that my friendships with these people are at a whole new level, and to all of you reading this, I love you guys so much!

We need to keep each other in check, and encourage each other! As Eric said, it's very difficult to run the marathon alone. I believe thats what God really spoke to me about this camp. Ym Camp 2007: Destination.

I'm back from camp! This year was ... different, but one thing God really led me and spoke to me quite a lot.

Ok first off I was AGL for the group Marah of tribe Moses. Sorry Hilary for annoying you and yeah thank you for being one of the more vocal girls which made our group at least quite enjoyable. Andrew Lai alone isn't enough for conversations :D Though we were a started off pretty quiet I believe God brought us closer together in the end, and I'd very much like to catch up with all of you this coming year, and do say hi to me in church. I think I better just type out everybody in the group here so I can remember next time...

janice, greg, jia wei, liz, jongthesecond, zach, avriel, hilary, joyce, melanie, cheryl, andrew, caleb(didnt talk much though), yaan ming

I'm really blessed with great friends who care so much about me. Throughout camp God kept telling me how important these friends are, and yup. A BIG thank you to Thong, Jong, Conrad, Nat and Clarissa for being there for me, especially Clarissa and Thong who helped me to think straight. You guys are really such amazing friends, and I don't know where I'd be without you.

I'll blog more tmr

the world of sports

Today I watched bits of college basketball... and for one of the games, Boston College Vs Maryland, I found it just weird. I simply don't understand when basketball happens unlike in the NBA i.e. NDL cough singapore slingers etc. For example, on a free throw, whats the point of the defensive team sending 4 guys? In the NBA one side will have D-O-D and the other D-O (D means defensive and O means offensive players)... the college game had D-O-D and D-O-D... so usually what happens is the front defensive guy boxes out the offensive guy, leaving one additional defensive guy to get the rebound. So by having two defensive guys ... are you like gonna send 2 guys to fight for a rebound on the same team or what? And then that takes away the outlet pass for a break because there's only your poor point guard left running down the court. On the other hand, the slingers were like ... D-O and D. like what??? what kind of lame plays are being drawn up here man....

YM camp coming this thursday ... I do hope I can be a good asst leader and help elizabeth out. I hope even more that my group is full of nice people who are there to have a good time and experience God and that I won't need to rah rah and everyone will be cooperative... Then again I also hope that the Kings will either win the championship or get the 1st pick for the next 2-3 years.

Have you ever missed someone? Or forgotten about them? It's like when they're not there you seem to forget about them, but you don't want to forget them so you end up missing them. Then they come back and suddenly it's like everything is good again. Or is it?

3. 1 on track, 1 getting on track, 1 will really depend on her. Glue needs to stop.

my friend the food

from wikipedia -

Couscous (or kuskus) pronounced US /ˈku:sku:s/ UK /ˈkʊskʊs/ - Berber Seksu - Arabic: كسكس, called maftoul in Jordan, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories) is a food from the Maghreb of Berber origin. It consists of spherical granules made by rolling and shaping moistened semolina wheat and then coating them with finely ground wheat flour. The finished grains are about 1 mm in diameter before cooking. Traditional couscous requires considerable preparation time and is usually steamed. In many places, a more processed quick-cook couscous is available and is particularly valued for its short preparation time.

The dish is a primary staple throughout the Maghreb;[1] in much of Algeria, eastern Morocco, Tunisia, and Libya it is also known as ṭa`aam طعام, "food".[citation needed] It is also popular in the West African Sahel, in France, Madeira island, in western Sicily's Trapani province, and parts of the Middle East. It is also very popular among Jews of North African descent. It is eaten in many other parts of the world as well.

Couscous is traditionally served under a meat or vegetable stew. It can also be eaten alone flavoured or plain, warm or cold, as a dessert or a side dish.

rants

I'm bored and so I'm going to rant. And I shall rant by creating an "imaginary" list of friends in my life.

1. Marshall Lim - This bubbly character holds computers as his trump card. Able to get through anything to do with computers, his overconfidence caused him to lose 50 dollars to Joe Black. A nice guy overall, and quite a perfectionist when it comes to neatness... most of the time.

2. Joe Black - His friends always said he was born in water. The over exposure to chlorine has caused him to be a dwarf and also his sweat displaces Iodine. Very talkative, sometimes rather dumb, but cares about his close friends.

3. Hank Musclebro - Skinny ol Hank one day decided to hit the gym, and in his act of violence became very buff. I don't know much about ol Hank these days, but hope to catch up with him. Nice guy, but sometimes not confident in himself... Rather easily influenced by others.

4. Freddy O'Donald - The ever unique Freddy is always coming up with ways to entertain the masses, intentionally or not. Sometimes gets pushed around due to his small size. Great guy who means well and a definite keeper for Fantasy Friend teams.

5. Jane Austen - After the famous author, but this Ms Austen doesn't exactly ring Pride and Prejudice. She's skinny, sensitive, and friends sometimes call her Rudolph, after the reindeer. A nice girl, Jane strives hard to get what she wants.

6. Michelle Tan - A very nice girl, good looking too. She has a lot of ambition and does well. A tad pampered at times but that has its pros and cons too. Michelle will be there for you when you need her... but tends to disappear at other times.

7. Polly Pierce - Polly. The over achiever, the typical career lady. She seems to strive for independence, perhaps too much at times, but is still a normal cute girl at heart. Polly is smart and educated, and values her friends largely.

8. Big Bird - He appears to me in my sleep and tells me what to do. His advice has paid off most of the time, but I don't know much about his personal life.

One of the 8 friends don't exist. guess which.

sydney

Well I'm back from sydney. Who missed me?? Had a good time, but yeah I missed home, especially with retreat going on and all. Yeah I don't have pics of myself because all the pictures are in the camera with my dad so all the pics I'm going to post are taken with my phone. Which is probably a wide angle lens so taking stuff (not people) is pretty hard because you can't zoom much.

Yeah so alright on the first day went to the aquarium.

Yeah so Darling Harbour and all... Nice big fish. Second day went to Circular Quay, yeah so Sydney Opera House from a distance.

After that I didn't take anymore pics and basically headed up to Blue mountains a few days later. Despite it being summer the place was all foggy and rainy the whole time so we didn't get to see much. From Echo Point where you're supposed to see the Three Sisters this is all I could see. The other two are flowers at Leura Mall and my brother, bob.

So back to sydney where we went to Bondi Beach and also the wildlife park on the last day. Matthaeus never told me he lived in sydney, but I saw this outside his house.
