God doesn't leave you

Isaiah 53:6
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

I've turned away from God many times, and I'm sure all Christians alike have had periods in their life where God seems rather distant. I recently spent some serious time with God, confessing my sins and admitting my fears, many of which I had never realized bothered me. As it turned out I was actually afraid of many things, one of which being my faltering faith. I feel that faith is the key in any relationship. You have to believe and trust that at the end of the day, certain setbacks only make your relationship stronger. When we turn away from God, he's still there, waiting. This hymn came to mind, and I've never really reflected much about the lyrics. Anyway, I do hope and pray that in all circumstances we continue to trust in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;

There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Other than that, thanks for a good outing yesterday guys; especially Andrew who was the only one who joined me for breakfast. Sorry if my messing around actually did offend anybody, particularly Justin.
